Keepers of the Old Ways: THIS Friday and Saturday!

Are you anywhere near Dothan, Alabama? If so, come on over to Keepers of the Old Ways!

They’ll have classes on butchering, grafting, fermenting, blacksmithing, gardening, soapmaking, mushroom cultivation, breadmaking and more. And it’s very family-friendly, with an entire track of classes for kids.

Also, I’ll be giving two talks, plus we’ll have our plant nursery booth set up with all kinds of rare and wonderful food forest plants, including:

Black cherry
Cassava
Oxalis
Edible air potatoes
Sugarcane
Goji berry
Potato mint
Lemongrass
Purple sweet potato slips
Everglades tomatoes
Eggplant
Oca
Chaya
Vetiver grass
Okinawa spinach
Elderberry
Wild blueberry
Yacon
Death hedge prickly pear
Death hedge rose
Lagos spinach
Hot peppers
Bell peppers
Honey locust

…and lots more. I mean LOTS! We’re bringing a van and a trailer load of the best we have!

This is also your 2024 chance to get edible air potatoes for your garden, as we rarely sell them.

We’ll also have T-shirts and books, including copies of Minimalist Gardening. We’ll even have seeds, fresh-baked cookies, and CJ’s forged hand sickles.

This event is well-worth supporting and attending. Come join us – get tickets and more information here.
